3 Important Tips to Work By
Below are three very important tips that I try to work by in no particular order.
1. Always save backups of your work – This is so important it can’t be stressed enough. I always keep two backups of every project that I work on. Crashes always happen when you least expect them and you’ll be glad you backed up those project files. Nothing feels worse than having to recreate hours of work already done. Get into the habit of saving often. Don’t be lazy, you WILL regret it.
2. Take a break – So you’ve been sitting at the computer for hours and only got up to use the bathroom. Besides that, try taking a five minute walk away from your computer. Not only will it relieve some of the headaches, but it will clear the mind to refocus on the task.
3. Keep your emotions to yourself – It’s been said before, never let them see you sweat. It really is about the work and the work only. You are getting paid by the client and to make the client happy. This is where those 5 minute walks can really benefit you. It will allow you to rethink and put those emotions into a better place, plus its always great to vent away from the work. Very handy!
