Improve Facebook Album Sharing
So, on Facebook we are allowed to create albums and share them with others. But can we REALLY share an album? I think it would cool to have an album sharing capability where multiple friends can contribute to the same album. Of course, someone would have to be the creator and set permissions on who is allowed to contribute.
Why create nearly the same album as your friend when you both can share one? Of course there are pros and cons. The pros: more fun, efficient, more interesting, more photos! The cons: well, I can’t really think of anything other than someone’s feelings getting hurt because they weren’t permitted to contribute to their “friend’s” album. Hmm, oh well. Also, there really is no such thing as privacy anymore, so who cares about someone uploading embarrassing or terrible photos. That already exists! But besides that, maybe your friend deletes their account and since they were the creator of the album, all the photos you both uploaded go bye bye? In that case, it could be programmed that if the creator of the album deletes their facebook account, a subcreator of the album would take over.
And finally, to take the idea a bit further, albums should be allowed to have nested albums. For example, say we take pictures of the front, side, and back of a building. The album could have a master title of “Building.” And within this album we have nested albums such as “front”, “side”, and “back”. Now we can be a bit more organized in sorting and finding specific photos, rather than browsing a mashup of photos in one general album.
And there it is.
